Kayak For a Cure XV

This event is so near and dear to my heart.
I've kayaked (in a crazy storm), I've organized (queen of hanging balloons), I've fundraised. I've recruited friends to volunteer, my mom is a breast cancer survivor who has kayaked in this event. I often amplify other charitable ventures (that I deeply adore), but this is the one event where I make the personal request. This is my one ask. If you have a few dollars to spare, please donate - this is THE fundraiser where I remember the pain of diagnosis, my mom's surgery, chemo, hair loss, chemo brain, wigs ..... We are cancer fighters - join me.
As difficult as my mom's journey was, the research and programs were in place to make survival a likely outcome. I will never forget when a doctor friend said "Breast cancer is treatable. We know what to do." I want to raise money so we can speak with that same knowledge and confidence for the cancers that Chris Cayford and Tamara O'Brien battled and brain cancer that Carling Muir is currently battling.
Your generosity will help the Canadian Cancer Society continue to make the most impact, against the most cancers, in the most communities across the country.
Please make your donation online – it’s fast, secure and will reduce administrative costs so more of your support goes towards the fight against cancer. And you get a tax receipt, so let's do this - together!
Thank you!
