These last two years have been challenging for everyone. While the pandemic may not be over yet, the timing feels right for our family to do a little bit to give back while hopefully bringing a smile to people's faces. We've decided to donate our hair and to raise money for charity in the process.

Donating hair is not new for me as I have done this several times before, most recently upon my return from maternity leave in 2017. More recently when I mentioned the idea of donating my hair again, my kids were not happy with the idea. However, as time went on and we started to see the full impact of the pandemic and the many other disasters occurring around the world, the idea of doing something to give back really started to resonate with them and they have decided to join in and donate their hair also.

So after 2+ years of no haircuts, on May 11, 2022 my son, daughter and I will be saying goodbye to our long hair!

We will each be donating at least 10 inches of hair (to Wigs for Kids BC). In addition, we are hoping to raise money for charities that have meaning to our family.
