The Brier is back! The Annual Bytown Brier is a curling tournament in Ottawa that is running for the 8th straight year.

For the past four years, we have used the tournament as a fundraiser for Prostate Cancer Canada who on the eve of World Cancer Day in 2020 amalgamated with the Canadian Cancer Society.

We are excited to announce that last year we eclipsed $41,000 total raised for the charity, and this year we are aiming for more.  Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer, and is the third leading cause of death from cancer, in Canadian men. With 1 in 9 Canadian men expected to develop prostate cancer in their lifetime, your support is greatly appreciated.

The tournament will be held on Saturday, March 18th, 2022, at the Rideau Curling Club. The tournament has it all: hilarious themed costumes, a bagpiper, the Mayor of Ottawa throwing the opening rock, and unfortunately god-awful curlers. This year we are adopting our alter egos of 1990's WWF wrestlers, and it's a going to be a ROYAL RUMBLE for the ages! 

All participants have been affected in some way by cancer, and thus we are again excited to contribute to this fight. Thank you for visiting and considering donating! The tournament is dedicated to the memory of Patricia Stratton and Mark Allen and all those affected by cancer.
