Marathon Monday's Fundraising Page
Marathon Monday was started in 2012 by Patrick Law & Dylan Thornborough who set out to play 99 holes in one day to raise funds for cancer research. They ended up playing 126 holes and raising $5,800. Fast forward to 2019, the two expanded the event and added the Sunday Funday tournament, which invited others to get out on the course for the cause.
In 2020, during a year of so much uncertainty, Marathon Monday and its tournament were hosted virtually, while still raising over $16,000. To date, Patrick, Dylan and the Marathon Monday supporters, have raised $90,600.
This year marks Marathon Monday's 10th year, a decade of fundraising and over BLANK holes of golf played. To celebrate this milestone, Patrick & Dylan are calling on participants from across Canada to take to a course of their choosing on Sunday, July 4 for the Sunday Funday tournament, and raise as much money as they can in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. Individuals who are interested can sign up at marathonmonday.ca, with prizes being awarded to those who play the most holes, raise the most funds, as well as other random draws to thanks supporters.
On Monday, July 5, Patrick and Dylan will be the original Marathon Monday, playing from sun up to sun down in an effort to beat their 210 hole record set last year.
Join in the fight to end cancer once and for all!
Thanks for your support!
