I am planning a 14-16 day back country canoe trip around Algonquin park to raise money for Prostate cancer research. Several years ago I lost my father to this horrible disease and have since then have looked for a way to make a difference. In these years I have also discovered a passion for back country camping. Through my many trips since then through Algonquin park I have learned of a route called the meanest link. Originally created by to Honour Bill Swift Sr. by connecting the algonuin outfitters stores and his favorite parts of the park. I thought it would be the perfect way to push my limits and at the same time raise money to honour my father and further research. The route is 420km of canoeing, portaging and sweating through the park that should if all goes well take me from the Oxtongue AO past Huntsville then into and around the park ending again at Oxtongue AO. The trip will start 2nd to 3rd week in August 2022.
