Kayaking for Cancer 2022 - WE ARE BACK!!!!!

Finally, after a 2 year break, our paddles are hitting the water and we are back!
Starting Saturday we have an 8 day journey to paddle from Kingston to Ottawa and raise money and awareness - the goal is a cure for this devastating disease.
My first year paddling was in 2011 and this cause is just as near and dear to me 10 years later. I have survivors of Cancer in my immediate and extnded family and I am forever grateful. I have lost people who mean the world to me and to my family, and I am forever hopeful we can beat this disease before my children have to go through the same experience.
As always, since Day 1, I paddle for Miss Cristina Roque. This incredible lady was the reason I first joined this cause, and cheered me on my first year from her in-patient room in Ottawa. She has been gone since 2012, but I so enjoy my memories of her during the long days on the water.
Our family tragically lost a GREAT man in Uncle Mike to Cancer, and his presence is still felt at every gathering. I still expect to see him sitting on the wooden chair at the end of his dining room table when I show up for late night snacks or a couch to sleep on.
Please donate today and help me reach my fundraising goal! The money raised will help provide cancer patients with much-needed support services and ensure that other life-changing work is possible.
Make your donation online – it’s fast, secure and will reduce administrative costs so more of your support goes towards the fight against cancer.
Thank you!
Cheryl
