Wear Plaid for Dad - Wayne Lillie!
It is hard to believe that my dad - Wayne, has been gone 6 years. I think about him every day and know that many of you do as well.
In honour of my dad this Fathers Day (June 20), I am asking that you consider making a donation to support prostate cancer research and wear something plaid in his honour.
Sadly cancer did not stop during a pandemic. Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Canadian men and the third leading cause of cancer-related death in Canadian men.
An estimated 1 in 9 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime and one in 29 men will die from this disease. The good news is that the prostate cancer death rate has declined significantly since 1994, largely because of improvements in treatment.
With your help and donation we can make change happen!
The money raised will help Canada’s brightest researchers make groundbreaking prostate cancer discoveries, provide cancer patients with much-needed support services and ensure that other life-changing work is possible.
Make your donation online by choosing the blue Donate button on the right of this page – it’s fast, secure and will reduce administrative costs so more of your support goes towards the fight against cancer.
Thank you for joining me to honour my Dad xo
Proceeds from my fundraiser will support Prostate cancer research
