Welcome to my fundraising page - a Ride for my Dad !
Hey there! Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. As many friends and family know, I hold the Canadian Cancer Society very close to my heart and have always strived to make a difference within the cancer community.
This spring I have decided to take on a new challenge in memory of my Dad. Over a year ago I lost my Dad to a hard-fought battle to pancreatic cancer, a cancer that does not have a high survival rate. This fundraiser is to directly raise funds for pancreatic cancer research, in hopes that one day other people do not have to face what my Dad did.
If you knew my Dad, you know how much he loved to ride – a motorcycle that is. I, on the other hand cannot ride a motorcycle. However, I can ride a bike! So, that is exactly what I’m going to do. Last year I saw some friends doing a run challenge of 100km over the course of a month but I’m taking a twist on it. For this fundraiser starting May 1, 2021, I want to ride 500km over the course of a month, but I need your help! For every $5.00 donated, it will equal 1 kilometer towards my goal of riding 500km in May.
$5.00 = 1 km
$25.00 = 5 km
$2500.00 = 500 km
I am a Cancer Fighter – fighting for those who can’t anymore. With many of the funds I have raised through Relay for Life and my birthday fundraiser, this one definitely means the most. Your generosity will help the Canadian Cancer Society continue to make the most impact against pancreatic cancer. Please donate today and help me reach my fundraising goal! The money raised will help Canada’s brightest researchers make groundbreaking discoveries, provide cancer patients with much-needed support services and ensure that other life-changing work is possible. I hope I can count on your support!
Please make your donation online with this fundraising page – it’s fast, secure and know your support goes directly towards the fight against cancer!
Proceeds from my fundraiser will support Pancreatic cancer
