Welcome to my "No One Fights Alone" fundraising page!

I am a Cancer Fighter. I am taking action to change the future of this disease for myself, my friends, family and Canadians nationwide. I am raising awareness and funds for the fight against cancer. I hope I can count on your support!
The money raised will help Canada’s brightest researchers make groundbreaking discoveries, provide cancer patients with much-needed support services and ensure that other life-changing work is possible.
Your generosity will help the Canadian Cancer Society continue to make the most impact, against the most cancers, in the most communities across the country.
Make your donation online – it’s fast, secure and will reduce administrative costs so more of your support goes towards the fight against cancer.
Thank you!

My Story So Far ...
Late November 2019 - Routine check up and ear flush. For some reason, I asked about the possibility of hereditary cancers, specifically Thyroid as extended family have dealt with it in the past and my thyroid numbers has always been "off".
My Doctor said it would be a good idea to take a closer look at my thyroid for "piece of mind and to make sure nothing strange was going on" and ordered blood work and an ultrasound.
Early December 2019 - Results of the blood work and ultrasound return as suspicious and my doctor refers me to an Endocrinologist for an additional ultrasound and more blood work to confirm the initial findings. At this point I'm diagnosed with what is believed to be Papillary thyroid Cancer. The Endocrinologist now orders a biopsy to confirm the findings and prepare for next steps.
January 17 2020 - Biopsy Day
Early February 2020 - Reviewed the results with my Endocrinologist who referred me to an Otolaryngologist because surgery would be required. After meeting with the surgeon, a date was set for surgery and the process had now begun.
March 20th, 2020 - First surgery date to remove 1/2 of my thyroid
April 27th. 2020 - Second surgery and remainder of my Thyroid was removed
Since May 2020, I have had several appointments and am still in the process of next steps. At this time, Doctors are still working to regulate my thyroid medications and in mid September I will be completing more blood work and having a Thyroid scan done to determine if there are any other bouts of cancer within my Thyroid network. Once that test is completed, I will be discussing next steps with my Doctor(s).
