Time: 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm

Location: Bowring Park, St. John's NL

Bark For Life is a unique fundraising event for dogs and their owners. Designed as an extension of Relay For Life, the Canadian Cancer Society's national signature event, Bark For Life invites dog owners to join the fight against cancer. Bark For Life presents an opportunity for people to celebrate their canine companions while contributing to the Canadian Cancer Society's efforts to eradicate cancer and ease the burden for people facing the disease.

For many cancer survivors, their canine companions provided unconditional love, joy, security, and compassion during their cancer journey. For them, Bark For Life is an opportunity to celebrate their own victory against the disease, acknowledge their dog's role in their life and raise funds to fight back against the disease. For anyone whose life has been touched by cancer, the event is an enjoyable way to partner with your canine best friend to have fun, make new friends and fight cancer.

Come out and join us on August 20th to celebrate our canine companions and fight back against cancer! The afternoon will be filled with activities for you and your pooch, including a peanut butter eating contest, paw art, a kissing booth, and many more fun filled tasks! Barking Beauties will also be joining us for nail clipping.

Each participant will receive an activity passport upon registration. Along the walk there will be stations at which you will acquire a stamp if you are able to complete the provided task. Once you have collected all six stamps, submit your activity passport for a change to win a prize! It is gaurenteed to be an exciting day, so mark your calendars and prepare to tell cancer it barked up the wrong tree!
