Since 2014, two of my three dogs have been diagnosed with cancer. Here'r our story...
In November of 2014, Willow, my Golden Retriver/Boxer/German Shepherd mix, was diagnosed with cancer. After undergoing two surgeries within a few weeks, she's been cancer free since mid-december of 2014. Both Willow and I are very grateful towards the great care that she was given at the Atlantic Veterinary Clinic.
In September 2019, Keely, my Staffordshire Terrier/German Shepherd mix was diagnosed with type B lymphoma. Keely is currently stable and this year we will be doing Bark For Life for her!
Since 2014, we've been taking part in Bark For Life to help raise much needed funds to help those going through a cancer journey and to tell cancer that it's barked up the wrong tree!
Bark For Life promises to be a tail-wagging good time where she will get to make new doggie friends! All doggie participants come together to help our human friends!
All funds raised are allocated to be invested in programs offered to cancer patients right here on PEI. These programs include: Sending kids to camp, Wigs for Women and Cancer Care Kits. Each of these programs help support cancer patients in all kinds of ways: financially, emotionally and socially. Also, this means that all funds raised are staying right here on PEI to help our Islanders!
Please pledge us and help us reach my fundraising goal! Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight against cancer. Online pledging is secure and it saves the Canadian Cancer Society money by reducing administrative costs.
Thanks for your support!
