My name is Mike Martone and I am honored to be a co-chair for Pink in The Rink this year. I am a Peterborough Petes Alumnus and happy to partner with the Canadian Cancer Society and the Petes to raise funds and awareness for women’s cancer research.
I think one of the biggest life lessons I learned when I moved here to play with the Petes, was the importance of developing a strong sense of community. The Canadian Cancer Society carries and bolsters you during both times of joy and times of need. I also learned the importance of giving back to the community in which we live, therefore I feel that this is a perfect opportunity for the Petes Alumni to partner with the Canadian Cancer Society for this worthy cause. It’s an unfortunate reality that cancer affects many people in our community both directly and indirectly, so let’s do our part and support our community.
Please consider making a donation and help me reach my fundraising goal of $2,500 towards Pink in the Rink.
Thank you for your support!
