It is truly an honour and a privilege as a Petes' Alumni ('82 - '85), a cancer survivor (head & neck, '13), and a Canadian Cancer Society Peer Support Mentor, to be involved in this outstanding opportunity as an Honorary Chair wiith Mike Martone. Both Mike and I look forward to supporting this great initiative this year.
In the past, I have participated in four (4) EPIC Rides to Conquer Cancer on behalf of the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and I have genuinely appreciated all of your support for that fundraising initiative. In particular, my colleagues and friends in Lakefield College community were incredibly supportive during treatment and continue to do so today with my various fundrasing goals. This year, I'm transfering my energies towards the Petes' Pink in the Rink Campaign, culminating in the BIG GAME on Saturday, February 1st where the Petes will take on the Oshawa Generals. Futhermore, the Lakefield College School community will be supporting the BIG GAME as our Senior Leadership Class will be engaged in a Fan Bus to the game and our Choir will join with Immaculate Conception's in performing the Canadian National Anthem before the game.
Please consider making a donation and help me reach my fundraising goal of $2,500 towards the Pink in the Rink initiative for womens' cancer research!
Thank you for your support!
