With nearly half of Canadians expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, we’re more determined than ever to help change the future of this disease. Our families and friends could be and have been affected. And that makes it personal to all of us.

Our teams efforts are dedicated to the grandfather of one of our hard working team members, Ayla.  

Andy Davis was a generous and loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. In 2023, he was diagnosed with brain cancer, and everything changed. He had tumours in his brain that affected his cognitive function, movement, and overall quality of life. Which made it difficult for him to take care of himself, and do the things he loved. He went through both radiation therapy and chemotherapy, which appeared to slow the progression of the cancer. However, the tumours continued to grow. Unfortunately, on February 25, 2024, he passed away, breaking the hearts of everyone who loved him. His cancer had a major effect on not only his life, but the lives of everyone around him, as they watched him lose the ability to do the things he loved. He always loved being outside, telling stories, going on walks, chatting with anyone who would listen to him, and spending time with his family and friends. Cancer took those things from him, as it does for so many people.

We all know how cancer affects our lives and the lives of loved ones around us. That is why we understand the importance of relay and hope to reach our fundraising goal to help countless individuals!
