This year, I have gotten the incredible opportunity to be a Co-Chair of Relay For Life here at Carleton University. I am eager and excited to create a meaningful impact. Almost half of Canadians are expected to face cancer in their lifetime, and this is very personal to me.

In the last 15 years, Carleton has raised just shy of $1.5 million. With this being our 16th year, we are aiming to surpass that mark! Relay For Life has a theme this year: It Takes A Society. Meaning that nothing we do, especially something as big as fighting cancer can be done on an individual level, we need to help each other, lean on each other, and work together. After meeting all of the other Co-Chairs across Canada, I was truly inspired. Hearing all of their stories and creating these amazing connections has motivated me to ensure that this years event is our most successful yet. We have the power and ability to create change if we do it together.

Even the smallest of donations can make the biggest difference. Any contribution of yours has the ability to positively shape someones cancer journey.

Lets come together as a society and make this year unforgettable, and show that every step we take brings us even closer to a cancer free future.
