Relay for Life is an event in support of the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS). This event aims to support and honour every individual's cancer journey, whether you are directly or indirectly affected by cancer. The Canadian Cancer society aims to enhance cancer research, create support programs including a 24/7 support line, policy changes, and funds go towards imrpoving cancer treatments such as at home chemotherapy. McMaster Relay for Life has raised an accumulative 1.25 million dollars for the Canadian Cancer Society over the past 20 years, this year our goal is to raise $85,000.

Cancer has touched each and every one of us. Relay for Life allows us to support one another in our shared experiences with loved ones impacted by cancer. I have been a part of Relay for Life for 5 years, beginning in high school. I Relay to create a safe and supportive community where individuals can share their story and connect with others, where we motivate one another to continue to create a positive change in our local community. Everybody knows somebody, any donation $5,$10, and $20 can help to make a diffrence in the lives impacted by cancer.
