My story starts at school when I wanted to join a club and Relay for Life was one that really stood out to me. This was October 2023. November 2023 was when I found out that my grandma got diagnosed with cancer. It was almost like the universe lead me down the path to join the club to raise money for cancer. It was a tough time with my grandma being so far away in another country, but I am fortunate to say that I still have family close to me. We have all been supporting each other through all of this. Unfortunately, my grandma passed away June 2024. All of her memories are still apart of all of us deeply in our hearts. We all loved her dearly and I know she is resting soundly.

Going through that showed me what other families have been going through. I want to be able to help other families get through tough times like we did. I want to be able to help in any way possible to defeat cancer. That is why I am in Relay.
