In the summer of 2022, my life took a sharp turn when I was diagnosed with leukemia. Up until that point, I was like any other university student, focused on my studies, friends, and dreams for the future. But when cancer entered the picture, everything seemed to slow down. It wasn't easy – between treatments, hospital visits, and the unknowns, there were definitely some challenging days.
Yet, as difficult as it was, my journey with leukemia has taught me resilience and helped me discover a new purpose. I learned that health is a precious gift, and it's one I hope to help others protect. Cancer also sparked my passion for medical research, especially in understanding and fighting blood cancers like mine. I now hope to contribute to the field, knowing firsthand how research can change lives.
Today, I’m participating in Relay for Life to honor my own journey and to give back to everyone who made it possible for me to be here. Each donation supports research, hope, and a future where others might not have to face the same journey. Thank you for being a part of this!
