My grandfather was a doctor and a force of nature, who was diagnosed with cancer in March of 2020. Despite surgical treatment, the cancer spread and the doctors deemed him not stable enough to recieve chemotherapy. Even though his doctors told us it was unlikely he would live into the next year, he lived to be 80 years old and passed in the summer of 2023. My grandfather was one of my biggest inspirations and he lives on in me and every single thing I do. He was full of passion and kindness, and I hope that I do his memory justice and spread a fraction of the amount of love and joy that he did in his lifetime ‍
