With nearly 1 in 2 Canadians expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, I'm more determined than ever to help change the future of this disease.

I relay in memory of my grandfather Vince Melvin, who died of cancer in 1998, and my grandmother Margaret Walsh, who died of cancer in 2013. I also relay for my grandmother Agnes Melvin, who fought breast cancer courageously and is thankfully still in my life today. I relay on behalf of the many family members and friends I have lost to this terrible disease.

Please help me reach my fundraising goal. No matter how much you donate, every dollar goes a long way. A donation of $25, $50 or $100 could help ensure a team of researchers has the resources they need to make a life-changing discovery, or a patient has access to support services when they need it most.
