Hey everyone, welcome to my page!

My Name is Laura McKee. I am so excited to be a part of Relay for Life this year at UBC Okanagan. This year I have the privledge of being on my little sister Colleen's team. My sister and I have both been passionate about volunteering for the Canadian Cancer Society for many years. When I was in high school I was heavily invloved with Cops for Cancer on Vancouver Island, so much so that in Grade 12 I had the hounour of being a campaign leader. With your help my team was able to send 60 kids to camp goodtimes in 2019!

I'm sure if you are on my page you are probably aware as to why this organization is so near and dear to my heart but if not here is my story:

When I was 16 in 2017 my dad Erin McKee was diagnosed with stage 4 pleomorphic sarcoma cancer. He was diagnosed in July and sadly passed four short months later in October. Anyone who knew may dad knew how passionate for life he was. My dad taught me to not waste a minute and live your life to the fullest because you never know what will happen next. 

With all that said, I encourge you to share and continue to show your support. With your help we can give back to the surviors, their families, and help continue to fund cancer research.
