Hi Everyone,

My name is Samantha and I am currently President of the University of Toronto St.George chapter's Relay for Life Commitee.

I have been taking part of relay for 5 years now starting back in High School.

We carry the and live on the stories of others. This for me is carried through my name. Samantha is my given name translated from my greek name Spiridoula, that is the feminine form of Spiros, my grandfathers name.

I Relay for Life in honour of carrying my grandfathers legacy as he passed away shortly prior to when I was born due to lung cancer.

Cancer affects us all, and the Canadian Cancer Society aims at supporting all aspects of this disease through current patient care, summer camps, and mental health supports for survivors, as the effects of cancer carry on beyond treatment.
