You hear about cancer all the time, about people who are impaced by it and the hardship they go through, about the affect cancer has not just on the people who are diagnosed with it but on their family and friends. My great aunt passed away from stomach cancer, catching it too late for it to be treatable, and leaving us too soon. She was only in her sixtees.

Cancer has become such a preveland disease in Canada that it is projected that nearly half of Canadians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. It is a terrifying thought and I am more determined than ever to raise money to finally find a cure, to ensure that this diagnosis no longer stops people in their tracks, that it no longer tears families apart.
