Cancer is the leading cause of death in Canada, with an average of 655 people diagnosed with cancer and 238 people dying from cancer each day. In 2023 alone, there were 239,100 new cancer cases and 86,700 cancer deaths in Canada, with an estimated 2 in 5 people being diagnosed with cancer.
