Hello! My name Alexa Sanchez. This year I am participating in Relay for Life which my highschool Oakville Trafalgar is hosting. I am participating because I have witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of this disease on my family.

My uncle's battle with pancreatic cancer was a difficult journey that left a huge hole in my family, highlighting the urgent need for better treatments and medical research. As well losing my great grandmother and aunt to breast cancer further enhanced my commitment to supporting this cause and researching more about the cure. By participating in Relay for Life and fundraising for cancer research, I hope to honor the memory of my loved ones while contributing to the fight against this relentless illness. I believe that every dollar raised brings us one step closer to preventing more families from experiencing the pain and loss caused by cancer, motivating others to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.
