Dear Friends, On May 24th, OT High School will host Relay for Life, a meaningful event where we come together to honor those who have battled cancer, celebrate survivors, and support ongoing research to find a cure.

I am participating in this year's Relay for Life in memory of my aunt, Sharon Brown. She was taken from us far too soon, losing her battle with breast cancer at the young age of 45. Sharon was kind and loving. Though I only had the first six years of my life with her, the memories we shared stay in my heart forever.

One memory stands out for me – my first Taylor Swift concert. In her last months of life, Aunt Sharon made sure to create lasting moments with us. I remember falling asleep in her lap, feeling safe and loved, amidst the music and the crowd. It was a moment of pure joy and connection that I'll forever cherish.

But beyond my personal loss, I am also driven by the hope for others like my grandparents, who have each battleddifferent forms of cancer and emerged as survivors. Their strength and resilience inspire me every day.
