In January of 2020, just before the pandemic shut down the world, my family’s world was shattered again, when we got the devastating news that my grandpa (dad’s dad) was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer. We only had 2 months to be with him before he passed…

In July of 2021, my other grandpa (moms dad) was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Thankfully with early detection and proper treatment, my grandpa is in full remission. Then again in July of 2022, my grandpa was diagnosed with stage 4 thyroid cancer. A quick decision life saving surgery, long stays in the hospital, multiple radiation therapies, and lots of treatments and tests later, we are thankful that he is still with us today. We wait for the day that he will be in remission…

With other family members being affected and/or taken by this disease, and other families with similar experiences, this is a cause that is very important to get the funds for finding a cure!
So one day, our shared stories will be happy ones, not heartbreaking…
