This year I am participating in Relay For Life which is an effort to raise money for cancer. Today, nearly half of Canadians are expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, we're here to show them that they're not alone. The money raised from this event will go directly to the Canadian Cancer Society. It will go towards cancer research, as well as towards those with cancer and their families.

Thanks to everyones help last year, my team and I were able to raise over $11 000.  Furthermore, our school collectively raised over $130 000 for cancer research.  This year I am looking to far surpass what I was able to raise last year, and with your help, we can make that happen!

On June 14th of this year, my team and I will be walking/running a relay event for twelve hours. This event consists of students from over 6,000 communities, across 29 countries, all with the like-minded goal of fundraising in the aspiration of a better tomorrow. Even last year, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, 125 schools across Canada were able to raise 1.7 million dollars for those affected by cancer.

From things as simple as funding phone support, to providing patients with the necessary treatment to get better, your contributions make this possible. It is with the help of all of us, that through the calamity, and hard times, Cancer patients are able to maintain hope and stay positive.
