2007 was the year in which I opened my eyes to see this world. Little did I know, I was one step away from losing my maternal grandmother before my 0th birthday. 

Cancer. Chemotherapy. Radiotherapy. Immunotherapy. Repeat. 

It was a miracle that her resilience and strong will eventually defeated cancer, yet 8 years later, as if bringing a tragic mockery to my family's hope, my paternal grandmother did not. 

Nowadays, cancer is no longer a vague concept we read about on a magazine, a news we see on the TV, or the story we hear from an acquaintance. With nearly half of Canadians expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, YOU are a stakeholder of this matter. 

As the granddaughter of a lady who survived breast cancer and a lady who passed away of bild duct cancer, I am enthusiastic to fundraise for the Canadian Cancer Society. 

Please help me reach my fundraising goal. No matter how much you donate, every dollar goes a long way. A donation of $25, $50 or $100 could help ensure a team of researchers has the resources they need to make a life-changing discovery, or a patient has access to support services when they need it most.
