Hello everyone! 

My name is Emma Kueneman and I am a second-year student at the University of Guelph. This will be my second time doing Relay-for-Life at Guelph, but I was the Logistic Captain of my high school Relay for Life Committee. Unfortunately, the event was cancelled due to COVID-19.

I am participating in Relay for Life in honour of my grandfather, Joe who I new as Papa. My Papa was a hard-working, cheery person who brought joy with him everywhere he went. He could start a conversation with just about anyone and would tell fascinating stories from years ago. He adored tradition and loved to play guitar, harmonica and sing. During family gatherings, he would often perform songs on the guitar while playing the harmonica and singing at the same time! We lost my Papa in September 2022 due to Mesothelioma, a rare form of lung cancer. He fought very hard for almost three years and I am fundraising in honour of him. 

I would like to thank everyone who has made a donation to Relay for Life. Everyone has been impacted by cancer in one way or another and together, we can conquer it!
