Hello Everyone.
On June 7th, 2024, my high school Christ the King will be hosting our annual Relay for Life event, and I have been given the opportunity to be a part of the committee running this event.
For those who don’t know, Relay for Life is a place for participants of all ages to gather and take turns walking around a track to symbolize the perseverance and action needed to improve lives and change the future of cancer forever. During Relay, we honor Participants of Hope during our first lap; the Survivor Lap. When the sun goes down, luminaries light the track in memory of those we have lost.
Relay is an amazing experience for such an important cause. Last year, our goal was $100,000, and our school surpassed this goal and raised $147,000. We were the Largest Individual Fundraising Single School Event of 2023 in Canada!
With nearly half of Canadians expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, I’m more determined than ever to help change the future of this disease.

Cancer is something that has impacted me and my family in a profound way, as I lost my grandmother last spring. This loss inspired me to join the Relay for Life committee at my school, so I could be part of planning this amazing event, and reach the hearts of others in my community who are struggling with the loss of a loved one.

Please help me reach my fundraising goal. No matter how much you donate, every dollar goes a long way. A donation of $25, $50, or $100 could help ensure a team of researchers has the resources they need to make a life-changing discovery, or a patient has access to support services when they need it most.
