Hello and Welcome!

I'm Andie McGugan and I'm a grade 12 student at St. Joseph's Catholic High School. My friends and I have created a team to help spread awareness to the Cancer Society. Our team is called, The Life Savers. I know a handful of people that are affected by the terrible disease and I want to reach my goal of $100 in hopes that one day we will have a cure for cancer.

Half of Canadians will hear once in their life time that they are diagnosed with cancer. This is very sad to me as this is a life threatening disease that no one has ever asked for. Everyone in their life will know at least one person diagnosed with cancer, whether it's a family member, friend or neighbour. Just hearing the word cancer can scar someone, never mind hearing that you have it. Cancer comes differently in everyone, but I hope that one day there will be a cure.

Every penny that is donated will be used for good and can help Canadians have a better, cancer-free life.
