This is part of my relay committee at our Relay University this year (2024)

With nearly half of Canadians expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, I’m more determined than ever to help change the future of this disease. Recently someone that I am very close with got diagnosed with cancer and it has made me realize that cancer doesn't not only happen to the people who do bad things,but it can effect that best people you've ever met. When i was younger i lost my Nona to breast cancer, and my Nono a couple years later to pancreatic cancer. These past couple years of my life, the diagnosis "cancer" has been tossed around all around me and i want to help to make a difference.
