HELLO!!

On March 8th, 2024, I will be participating in Relay For Life at Carleton University with my sorority Delta Phi Epsilon!

Some of you may know that my high school Clarkson Secondary School, would have an annual fundraiser, famously known as the Clarkson Cancer Drive, to raise money to send kids with cancer to Camp Oochigeas (now known as Campfire Circle), where they have the opprotunity to be kids again, depsite their cancer diagnosis. Throughout my high school career, I actively participated in helping with Cancer Drive every April/May, by being my homeroom class representative in grades 9 and 10, and being a part of the executive team in grades 11 (publicity) and 12 (lunch time activities). Additionally, in grade 10 (2017), I cut my hair at Cancer Drive, and raised $500 and donated about 12-14 inches of my hair to make wigs for kids diagnosed with cancer. 

Now that I am in university, I want to continue to show my support to those diagnosed with cancer, and saw this as the perfect opprotunity to do so.

With nearly half of Canadians expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, I’m determined to help change the future of this disease.  

Please help me reach my fundraising goal of $200 for Relay For Life.  It doesn’t matter how small the step, it makes a difference. Not only for those living with cancer now, but for those remembering and honouring those we’ve lost. A donation of $25, $50 or $100 could help make sure a team of researchers has the resources they need to make a life-saving discovery or a patient has access to support services when they need it most.
