This year I have decided to funraise for the Cancer Society of Canada to honour my dad and his fight with cancer. My father was diagnosed with Renal Carcinoma and given a 5% chance to live along with multiple surgeries and treatments. He was given hope when offered a clinical trial with medical advancements through technology devised by the monetary donations such as relay for life. The medical trial drug he received cured his cancer and he has now been in remission for over 10 years. Cancer is a disease that does not discriminate, it affects almost everyone around us directly or indirectly although it has a massive impact on so many Canadians and worldwide. If you are able to donate no matter how big or small, together let's fight against this disease so that we can have so much more time with those we love together as one.
