I'm walking this year for the nearly 1000 Canadians who are waiting to find their stem cell match, along with my parents, aunts, uncles, grand parents who have sufferred from cancer. I walk to honour those who we don't have to walk with anymore, and I walk for those too sick to walk for themselves. 

If you're attending the UVic Relay for Life, I would encourage you to stop by our table to learn about how stem cells help to cure over 80 blood borne cancers and diseases. All it take to learn if you're a 1/900 match to save someone's life is 5 minutes and four cotton swabs in the cheeks. It's an incredibly small ask with potenailly life-altering implications. 

Please help me reach my fundraising goal for Relay For Life.  It doesn’t matter how small the step, it makes a difference. Not only for those living with cancer now, but for those remembering and honouring those we’ve lost.  A donation of $25, $50 or $100 could help make sure a team of researchers has the resources they need to make a life-saving discovery or a patient has access to support services when they need it most.
