Relay for life has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. At the age of two, I was diagnosed with Leukemia. My Relay for Life team, Sophie's Roaring Monkeys, was created by my family and friends to support the Canadian Cancer Society. I will always remember going to the Relay for Life events and celebrating our journeys with my clinic friends that were also going through chemo at the same time. Cancer has been something in my life from losing my Opa and Aunt Wendy from cancer to the lasting effects of chemo on my brain and body.

Relay for Life is important to me because without the research it helps fund, I wouldn't be here today. Every little bit helps stop the lives being lost to this disease.
