Hi, name is Julia. I am a grade nine at abbey park. I have 3 younger siblings and a pet rabbit. I am a allstar cheerleader and love music. Cancer has really impacted my life.

Ryan, my uncle, fought with cancer for 6 years. He was a incredible person. No matter how sick he was he smiled and made the best of his situation. He was always making other laugh and never wanted us to worry about him. It was very hard when he passed for my whole family. I will always remember his kind heart.

My mom, Shana, was diagnosed with cancer in her eye in 2021. She had it removed and had problems with the prosthetic ever since. The cancer spread and is now in her liver. She get treatmet every week. She still finds time to make our lunches, drive us around, and clean the house. She is my favourite person ever and I love to hang out with her. She is the greatest mom I could ask for. It has been hard to see her not feeling her best. She always keeps a positive attitude and a smile even on her worst days.

At a young age I realized how many people cancer effected when I went to a realy for life. So when I leared abiut the schools event I knew I wanted to participate. Cancer is a battle so many people should not have to fight. Lets work together to beat it.
