Dear Friends & Family,

This year, I’ve taken on the role of Co-President at Mcgill’s Students’ Cancer Society, and I am so grateful to be part of such an incredible team of students. Our goal is to raise $30 000 for the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS). As many of you know, this cause is incredibly close to my heart.

In January of 2021, my dad, my favourite person in the whole world, was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer: Myeloid Sarcoma, Acute Myeloid Leukemia. We all thought that the treatments were headed in a positive direction, until they took a sudden and devastating turn, changing our lives forever. In September of 2021, I lost my dad. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of my dad.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to fund cancer research. There’s so much potential to change lives, improve patient outcomes, and to prevent others from enduring what my dad went through. But the reality is that we are just not there yet.

By supporting my fundraising efforts, you’re not just donating. You’re helping to create a future where no one has to go through what my dad did. It’s about creating a future where a cancer diagnosis isn’t feared.
