Last year we raised $328 , I’d love to pass that this year!
On December 15th 2021 I went to an appointment with my dad thinking we were going to see the specialist about arthritis. Little did we know we would walk out with the information that they found a spot of what could be cancer in his body. After that we went to countless appointments and spoke to many doctors , fast forward to February 11,2021 when we learned that he had lung cancer. After that appointment we started our cancer journey, first starting with weeks of radiation. Although the radiation was rough he got through it leading up to another MRI to see if it was improving. After his MRI the waiting felt like forever, months went by and after a few months we figured that no news was good news and that we would never have to hear cancer again but would hear the words you're in remission. Instead our conversation with the specialist didn't go as we thought instead we heard the words "Your cancer has spread, you now have stage 4 lung cancer." Fighting like he always did we started the chemo treatments. He was strong, he fought like crazy to get through each treatment but in the end cancer won. On December 22 2022 he lost the battle.
Going through this battle opened my eyes to how important events like this are. Creating awareness and helping anyway I can is just one way to support individuals going through this journey .
My goal this year is $500 , if you would like to make a donation please follow the link below
Thanks in advance for all the support!
