Over 3 years ago i was diagnosed with HCC. (Hepatocellular Carcinoma stage 4.) My life changed forever when I heard those words. I will forever be grateful for the love and support I have received during my journey. I am very blessed. For one, being able to be here to celebrate another year with those I love and two, to help support many others in their new fight. Since I was diagnosed 3 years ago, many of my my family members and friends have been diagnosed.
My mom passed away from Cancer at the young age of 50. From that moment on, I've wanted to help make change so that new advanced medicines can help those find longer treatment options, or possibly find a cure. That's always been my hope. For example, my cancer has no cure, BUT new treatment plans are allowing those with HCC to live longer lives. Never give up!
How can we not fight? There is HOPE! Always!
I am living proof! My friend Sandi is living proof...and many of my other family and friends. WE are proof!
Any donation will make a difference!
Everyone on our team has their own reasons for participating in the Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life, but one thing unites us all: a belief that we can change the future of cancer forever.
We will see you on June 8th
