I relay for my mother in law,Annie, who was taken quickly by cancer many years ago. She was a sweet, fiesty lady who is dearly missed.
I recently have had my own dealings with cancer. In December I was diagnosed with Merkel Cell Carcinoma which is a rare and aggressive type of skin cancer. It started out as a small lump on my finger and spread to my lymph nodes in a few months. I have had surgery and radiation treatment and will be monitored by scans and frequent trips to the Dermatologist. I had the honor of staying at "The Lodge that Cares" in Halifax while having treatment. There I met other people dealing with cancer and found great support. It's almost like "The Lodge"gives you a big hug and provides comfort.
Cancer certainly turns your life upside down. It really makes you stop and take notice of all the beauty around us .
I hope you’ll show your support, and help me reach my fundraising goal.
Thank you!
