We have made the difficult decision to cancel this year's Relay Event in Kingston. This decision was not made lightly, and numerous factors including participant volume, fundraising goals, and the rising cost of hosting the event, were all weighed. We recognize for many of you that Relay is woven into the fabric of your community; generating support for community members battling a cancer diagnosis, celebrating survivors, and honouring those we have lost. Relay for Life at its core is a mechanism for fundraising for the efforts and mission of the CCS to support a future where no Canadian has to fear a cancer diagnosis. We encourage you to continue fundraising alongside your team, as all of the funds raised will continue to support CCS. With this change, we encourage you to celebrate Relay For Life in whatever way suits you best. You can join us at a neighbouring event in Bay of Quinte or Ottawa (check their respective event pages for details). Alternatively, you can celebrate at home in your own way with family, friends, and loved ones on June 8th in spirit with teams who will be "Relaying" at sites across the country. We can't thank you enough for your continued passion and support, and we wish you all an incredible Relay Season.
