I can't believe this will be my 16th year participating in the Relay for Life! It was my beautiful friend Grace who got me into relaying in the first place. In those days we used to do the 12-hour relays from dusk to dawn. Come morning, my eyeballs felt like sandpaper from lack of sleep, but I'd be riding high on belly laughs and nighttime shenanigans.
This year I am once again participating in honour of my friend Grace Kavanagh who we unfortunately lost last year. Grace battled breast cancer twice, but never let it slow her down. On the weekends you would find her puttering in her garden, building homes for the poor or knitting booties for orphaned penguins. If she were alive today, she'd probably be serving borscht on the front lines in the Ukraine.
Please help me honour Grace's legacy, and all others fighting this battle by donating to the Relay for Life.
Thank you xoxo
