After a short pause due to COVID, this year will be my 9th participation in the Relay for Life. Many members of my family were diagnosed with cancer or died from it over the years but the last few years were still more difficult to accept as my parents and my best friend were all diagnosed witih cancer. It is then more important than ever to bring my efforts to help support the research.
This year is going to be a special one also because my 2 daughters will join my husband and I in the challenge. So it's going to be with all members of my immediate family that I will remember all those who passed away from cancer, that I will support all people I know who are still fighting, and that I will celebrate the ones who won their battle.
Nearly half of Canadians are expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. That means almost half of our family and friends will hear the words “you have cancer” at some point in their lives. Join me in taking action to help create a world where no Canadian has to fear this disease.
I’m determined to make a difference by participating in the Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life. This is a nationwide event that brings people together to celebrate survivors, honour those we’ve lost and show that no one has to face cancer alone. By making a donation, you can help fund Canada’s most promising research, vital support services for patients and their families, and other important work that could change the future of cancer.
I hope you’ll show your support, and help me reach my fundraising goal.
Thank you!
