As I take part in my 8th Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life, I do so with purpose, gratitude, and love.

I carry the memory of my husband, James—an incredible partner and devoted father to our two children. While his absence is deeply felt, his strength continues to guide us every day.

This year, I’m proud to walk alongside my team at Guidewire and peers from the P&C insurance industry—an incredible community coming together to support one another and drive impact.

Cancer changed our lives forever. It also showed us the power of community and the importance of organizations like the Canadian Cancer Society, who support not only patients, but families navigating loss and healing.

Relay for Life is my way of honoring James, supporting others on this journey, and contributing to a future where fewer families have to experience this kind of loss. We don’t move on—we move forward, one step at a time.
