Nearly half of Canadians are expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. That means almost half of our family and friends will hear the words “you have cancer” at some point in their lives. I have heard these words " you have cancer" It is life altering news to hear It has been almost three years since my diagnosis and I'm still here fighting On December 20,2022 my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer and she passed away on December 28, 2022. My grandson has lost 2 great grandparents and a great Aunt all in one year cancer. Think about that for a minute. He lost 3 very important people to him in one year. He was 7 years old. I have lost a great aunt, an Uncle and I have had other family members who have also heard "you have cancer" and some with small children,
I’m determined to help make a difference by participating in the Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life. This is a nationwide event that brings people together to celebrate survivors, honour those we’ve lost and show that no one has to face cancer alone.
By making a donation, you can help fund Canada’s most promising research, vital support services for patients and their families, and other important work that could change the future of cancer.
Lots of important work has been done but we need to do more
I hope you’ll show your support, and help me reach my fundraising goal. This is my way to give back for everything they did for me
Thank you!
