7 years ago my sons lost their dad to cancer, in less than 9 months he lost his battle. This is when my efforts to raise funds for Canadian Cancer Society became more personal. I had been involved with WICC BC (an Insurance industry group organizing events to raise funds for CCS) before that, but this provided more drive to do what I can to raise money.
Nearly half of Canadians are expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. That means almost half of our family and friends will hear the words “you have cancer” at some point in their lives. Join me in taking action to help create a world where no Canadian has to fear this disease.
I’m determined to make a difference by participating in the Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life. This is a nationwide event that brings people together to celebrate survivors, honour those we’ve lost and show that no one has to face cancer alone. By making a donation, you can help fund Canada’s most promising research, vital support services for patients and their families, and other important work that could change the future of cancer.
I hope you’ll show your support, and help me reach my fundraising goal.
Thank you!
