I lost my dad to leukemia in October of 2007. Since then, my family and I have carried on in his memory with stories, photographs, and laughs. You never think cancer will touch your life until it does. Events like this bring awareness and support to those who continue to fight, those who have lost and those who search for a cure.
Nearly half of Canadians are expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. That means almost half of our family and friends will hear the words “you have cancer” at some point in their lives. Join me in taking action to help give people with cancer the help and support they need to lead more fulfilling lives.
I’m determined to make a difference by participating in the Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life. This is a nationwide event that brings people together to celebrate survivors, honor those we’ve lost and show that no one has to face cancer alone. By making a donation, you improve the lives of all those affected by cancer through world-class research, transformative advocacy and compassionate support.
I hope you’ll show your support, and help me reach my fundraising goal.
Thank you!
