2009 was a horrible year, with a diagnosis of brain stem cancer in Mark. Brain surgery, followed by weeks of radiation every day, driving to Sunnybrook Cancer Centre every day, then chemotherapy, did not allow the horrid disease to leave his body. Throughout, Mark remained hopeful and put his trust in the medical professionals treating him
In the summer of 2010, Mark succumbed to brain stem cancer, forever changing our family's lives. He was not only my husband, he was a Daddy to our 5 young kids. He was a son, a son-in-law, a brother, a friend, a best friend, a boss, a church warden, a Chartered Accountant, A CFP, a volunteer and he was our everything.
Mark has missed every one of our kids graduating high school and their post secondary adventures. He missed the wedding our our first kid, kids moving, buying houses, buying cars, more moving, the births of our 2 grandkids and will now miss the births of our 2 new grandbabies, to 2 of our kids ,due this spring. How in hell is that fair?
In 2011, we joined Clarington's Relay for Life and this year we will be at Quinte/Bay of Quinte's Relay for Life as I/we have moved.
